Recently, Facebook has been ranked fourth for on-line video among the Social Media sites in the US by ComScore. According to ComScore reports, one out of every four American Internet Users watched video on-line on Facebook in February 2011.
ComScore reported that nearly 170 million American Internet User watched on-line video content in this February for an average of 13.6 hours per viewer.
Out of them, around 47 million users watched videos on Facebook. Around 83% of the American Internet Users involved in nearly 5.0 billion viewing sessions last month. Previously, in January 2011, Facebook was ranked in the sixth place for on-line video.
Among the social media sites, Google Sites, driven primarily by YouTube, ranked #1 with 144.1 million unique viewers and Microsoft ranked #2 with 48.8 million viewers.
YouTube is still way ahead in the rankings, with almost three times the number of viewers and six times the number of viewing sessions as Microsoft. A month ago, Microsoft was placed in #7 spot by ComScore.
